The four (4) athletes who represented Antigua and Barbuda were:![]()
Karin Clashing - 50m - freestyle
Karin won heat four in a personal best time of 30.01 seconds, however it wasn’t fast enough to land her a spot in the semi-finals. She placed 55th overall from 73 swimmers.
Afia Charles - 400m - athletics
Afia ran just above her personal best time of 54.23 seconds in the 400 meters qualifying round, clocking 54.25 in the Olympic Stadium.
Daniel Bailey - 100m - athletics
Daniel placed 2nd in the fourth heat with a time of 10.12. He ran in the 2nd heat, finishing 6th in his heat, therefore failing to qualify for the finals. His time on this race was 10.16.
Brendan Christian - 200m - athletics
Brendan placed second in his first round heat, but improved his time in the second round to 20.26. Unfortunately, he placed fifth in the semi-final in 20.29 seconds and failed to reach the final.
